Packing baby food shouldn't feel like moving a kitchen
We built this after carrying a cooker, dal, and khichdi on our own family trip. Here's how the three real options actually compare.
| All Age Bowl Travel Kit | Packing Your Own Kitchen | Store-Bought Pouches | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prep time | ~30 seconds | 15–20 minutes | ~1 minute |
| Mess & cleanup | None | High — pots, cooker, washing up | Low |
| Preservatives | None | None, but perishable | Often yes |
| Variety in one pack | 5 cereals + dates powder | Only what you pack | Usually 1 flavour per pouch |
| What you're carrying | Fits in a diaper bag | Cooker, dal, khichdi, utensils | Multiple heavy jars/pouches |
Why we built this
When our baby turned six months old, we took our first family trip — and packed an electric cooker, dal, and khichdi just to make fresh food away from home. It felt like moving one kitchen to another. Outside food wasn't reliably preservative-free, and no single natural product could give ten days of variety. We decided nutrition shouldn't be restricted by age, or by where you happen to be.
Frequently asked questions
What age is this suitable for?
Designed for babies 6 to 24 months. As always, introduce new foods gradually and check with your paediatrician if you have concerns.
Does it contain added sugar or salt?
No refined sugar or added salt. A few of the cereals are naturally sweetened with dates powder instead.
What allergens does it contain?
Contains wheat, cashews, and almonds (tree nuts). Please check the full allergen panel on the pack before first use.
Is this only for travel?
Not at all — it works just as well for daycare, quick meals at home, or any day you don't have time to cook fresh.
How do I prepare it?
Add one scoop to warm water or milk, stir until smooth, and serve. No cooking required — ready in under a minute.
How should I store the kit?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once a pouch is opened, use it within the time noted on the pack.
